There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at Continuum Care Hospice. Volunteers can work directly with patients and families or they can be part of the office support team.

The hospice volunteers are able to provide:

Who will I be working with?
Hospice volunteers are fully supported by the hospice care team. Volunteers work directly or indirectly with the volunteer coordinator, medical director, nurses, nurses’ aides, social workers and clergy members. The care team will match volunteers with patients or staff members based on their talents and interests.
What skills do I need?
The only requirement for volunteers is the desire to help people. Each person’s talents and strengths will be utilized in a meaningful
way. Hospice volunteers are not required to have a medical background or past hospice experience. All necessary training is provided by the volunteer coordinator and hospice staff. The staff is dedicated to supporting volunteers in every way possible to help ensure a mutually rewarding experience.
